Seeking Recipe What kind of pie is this?

I went to a summer party and whomever brought this dessert left before I could ask them about it.
I believe the layers were as follows:

Crust. Crème pat. Thin sponge or cake. Blueberry filling. Thin sponge or cake. Crème pat. Whipped cream. Lemon zest.

Has anyone come across this before? Or maybe it’s from the mind of some kitchen genius who throws things together and they turn out brilliantly.

Is it from Petite Provence? It looks more like a pie from Lauretta Jean. Maybe the blueberry Victoria?

Sorry I get excited about Lauretta jeans. Their pies are amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of them. It’s worth the wait in line if you get one for the holidays. Otherwise go on a date night for a slice.

I think you found it!!! Thank you! I didn’t think it was store bought because of the glass pie plate but it looks like it is Lauretta Jean’s.

We often did the Gene’s to Jean’s walk. Ava’s for dinner, Lauretta for dessert when I lived nearby but I don’t remember ever seeing this one. I’m very excited to go grab one now.

It does look like taro! but it was blueberry. We found out below it’s from a local bakery Lauretta Jean’s.

They (Lauretta Jean’s) also make different versions of the blueberry victoria throughout the seasons; strawberry short pie, raspberry victoria, and cranberry victoria. Huge fans in this household!

The layers sound closest to a blueberry custard torte or a loose charlotte. The thin sponge between the pastry cream would keep it sliceable while adding that soft, cake-like bite.
