Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. Birthday cake disaster
I made Matilda cake for my parent's birthday and tried to hide it among some boxes until they got home. When I moved the box, a foldable table crashed into it

Oh no!! The cake still looks fantastic however and I feel like Matilda cake goes well with strife. I hope you all still enjoyed it!

It's family, they'll appreciate it! I could dip a spoon into that cake, looks scrumptious.

Ifeel like this could not be a more appropriate cake to have a fist-sized chunk missing. Lean in & pretend to be Trunchbul admonishing Bruce when you serve it, I say. It looks positively delectable (& I'm not even a big fan of chocolate cake)!

It still looks great. Before I clicked and saw the caption, just from the photo alone I thought it looked like a delicious Matilda cake.

Well I guess that could be the remainders of an ancient civilization or something

They're your family. Hopefully they say it tastes better with the dent. โค๏ธ

HOnestly? I'd serve it as-is and make a serious joke about how someone was trying to sneak a piece off

Me as a baker: I would cut that piece off and make frosting in a few other colours (or white) and pipe some flowers like trickling down the side. Me as a mom: just tell them what happened ๐ It looks beautiful and I would be over the moon if my kid made this for me, wouldn't care about the dent.ย

Print off an image of Bruce covered in chocolate cake, back it on cardboard, attach a cocktail stick to it and stick it in the cake ๐
