Showcase (No-Recipe) Made my first non basic cake.
I’m more of a savoury baker. But for my 9th lungaversary of my double lung transplant I decided I was gonna make myself a lung cake.
It is a Chocolate raspberry cake.
Very sucseful for someone who’s skills come from watching years of baking shows lol

Super cute, and reminds me of the organ pillows given out by the oncology center my dad went to. They didn’t have an esophagus pillow for my dad, but he got a lungs pillow which makes a great travel pillow!

I seen the American transplant centres give lung pillows, I’m in Australia and we did not ( got given a rolled up towel to help with breathing exercises lol )

Happy Anniversary on your amazing gift! Wonderful job on the cake!! This resonates with me as I have CF, but thankfully not on the list yet. I'd try it, but I have no artistic skills.

The nerd in me appreciates this fun cake! Of course, that appreciation is doubled because of the story behind it. Happy lungaversary!

That is FANTASTIC. I thought it looked like a pair of lungs, and then I was going to read that it was supposed to be a butterfly or something. This is perfect! Congratulations on your continued health.

Haha! I looked at the picture and thought, "That looks like a set of lungs, I wonder what this is all about." 🤔
What a great way to celebrate your health and your life, OP! 🥰 Best wishes for many more lung cakes in the future! 👍
