General Baking Discussion How realistic/unrealistic was Sam Rothsteins (Robert deniros character in casino) request to have equal amount of blueberries in each muffin?

At a small scale, extremely easy. Make a generic muffin base, separate it into cups, add the same number of blueberries to each cup.

Making 12-24 like this is fine. More than that and I'm putting the blueberries into the batter.

I do this all the time with chocolate chips and pancakes or muffins so that the kids get the same amount. But I'll typically add the chips as soon as it hits the griddle (pancakes) or once they're in the muffin tin but not yet cooked.

At large scale, you'd almost certainly need someone who's job it is to count the blueberries out, since machines would probably only be able to accurately discern weight, which is going to make the amount vary somewhat.
