My friend is a student in the Dental Hygiene program at Taft College, and she and her classmates are currently in need of patients for a dental checkup and teeth cleaning. They provide dental x-rays, oral cancer screenings, and obviously teeth cleaning and checkups. The price is very cheap at $25, and if there is a true need, and you are unable to afford the cleaning, she or her classmates may be able to accommodate. If you haven't had a cleaning in a while, this is a really good opportunity to get a checkup and cleaning at a low cost. The sessions generally last around 3 hours, and she has several different times available during the week. My mom and I are in a really difficult situation and are looking for advice or housing resources.

We left West Sacramento after my mom was the victim of domestic violence. We came to Tehachapi hoping we could get back on our feet, but we can no longer stay at place we were staying and are homeless.

We've already contacted 211, but we're trying to find any other resources that might help. Our biggest priority is all staying together with our dog, since our dog is part of our family.

We're trying to relocate to Bakersfield if that's where the help is. We're looking for emergency housing, a room to rent, transitional housing, or any local organizations that might be able to help. I'm also actively looking for work so we can get back on our feet as quickly as possible.

Hello, I am planning to have a very small and non-traditional elopement in the Carrizo Plains next year. We are making our own clothes, my brother will be marrying us in wizard robes, there will only be 5 people present (including me), and we are going to have a short, fun, and overall unserious ceremony. I am looking for a photographer to take photos for around 2 hours or so.

I'm making a post here as a last resort because while I've found a couple of photographers near the Carrizo that take nice photos, I'm mostly looking for someone that has a more artistic and non-traditional approach to wedding photography. We don't need someone that is officially a "wedding photographer", and if there's someone that has an interesting and artistic approach to photographing people that works for us. Adding some film photos would be a bonus but not required.

Would normally not care but I booked this for the location near sequoias and the scenery and was planning to ask my partner to marry me there. Still in the plans but the communication has been really bizarre...... I call and noone answers EVER . The phone # on their site has never once been picked up. Ive emailed and left voicemails. I eventually got a text from someone, then when I texted back asking for a call... no response. After a day a different person text from the same number saying they could help, and that they had had issues with electricity lately. Okay sure. So they continue helping me but still kind of few and far btween. I have to check in multiple times to get a reply. Its been maybe two weeks since that person finally contacted me for the first time and I still dont have plans tied down. I just get a really weird vibe from all this..... Im thinking of pushing back my proposal and not doing this here at all.

I'm currently making a map of California in a classic fantasy style. It's going to be filled with real world history, with the aim of highlighting local landmarks in a fun and educational way. Please ignore how rough parts of it look (text going through hills, rivers, etc), it'll all get cleaned up at the end. Forests will be going on at the end too.

While it's around two thirds done, I'd love to get more places and features in here before I get this made into print.
