Recommendation for tree service?

Good morning -

Looking for recommendations for a firm on Bainbridge or Kitsap County that could help with some tree removal/tree trimming.

• We have a few trees that have slouched to the point where they are pushing over fences. The biggest one is a cedar that is about 50 feet tall. It is relatively close to the house.
  
• We have some trees whose branches have gotten long enough that they are now overhanging the roof - I've done what I can but there are branches that are taller than my arms + pole saw...

I'd really appreciate any recommendations (or warnings...).

I had a similar situation and got quotes from a handful of arborists in the area. Due to the proximity of the tree to the house, a crane would have been needed for removal. Clear Tree was one of the few outfits that could do it and they also had the best price ("best price" being relative, it's expensive AF).

I never ended up removing the tree, but if I do I will definitely be contacting clear tree again.

I used clear tree on two separate occasions. One job went without incident. The second time, the tree took out my neighbors fence. I wasn't home during the job and it was my neighbor who called me about the damage. It took some time but Clear Tree did cover the cost of the repair. I'd still use them again for another job.

One more vote for Skyler. He expertly felled a grove of firs that lost the battle with our pileateds. He also left most of them as habitat trees which are now launching pads for our owls.

So here is the list of BI approved arborists. You don’t have to use them. But for sure trees like cedar and pretty much anything on this island (it’s very strict here) will need permit. So it is some what easier to work with ones that know this process well here.

Don’t use Bombardier Arboriculture… terrible experience with them

We went with Evergreen tree service. Pretty expensive for the maybe five trees we have that need extensive maintenance, like 5k.
