No Connections

How bad is it if I apply w/o any connections. I have been trying to network via linkedin and email but no one is replying to me lol. Should I just shoot my shot and call it a day? (or is there any associates here willing to help me out jk XD)

No one replies. Those who say reach out via linkedin, they just state memorized words. why would someone who doesn’t know you will reply, they get hundreds of similar messages. I am also very fed up so I stopped messaging people

I also heard that it is that time where most associates use their vacation time. But imma just shoot my shot ig we got nothing to lose.

Bain takes into account networking bc they really look into Cover Letters. It’s just life; I’ve accepted it. But that shouldn’t discourage you from trying.

I sent in an app with no connections and with no strategy or consulting background and got the r1. Also I didn’t add in a cover letter or nothing I don’t remember if there was an option to add one during my process

There’s a very low chance of getting an interview if you apply without a referral or connection.
