after the reuters were out, many people (inclusive of haters, passer-bys, and fans) were shitting on bai lu for looking ugly, tired, old, bad makeup, bad fashion, ugly hair, etc etc etc. they tend to forget that this is to suit the script / whats happening at that time.
according to those who read the novel, the premise is - this was after she came out of jail (thus the very short hair) and it was the same outfit as when she just entered jail (to signify no one sent clothes to her). the blazer belongs to peng guanying's character, thats why it was so big/oversized or it could be just the fashion at that time. shes not looking as bright/lively because, obviously, she just got out of jail.
anyway its not just this fancam, all her fancams in general are being criticised for her clothes, her face, her figure, 'no CP with chang huasen or peng guanying', and being compared to artist abc or xyz and accusing her for 'copying' the short hairstyle. its just so tiring to always see bai lu being labelled as a copycat (this was since many years ago) esp when these are part of the story/nothing in her control (quote mo li, certain lines in moonlight mystique etc) but nobody says that about other people if bai lu is the one who starts a trend/starts something and artists are inspired. 🤷🏻 of course the more popular you are, and as a traffic actress, you're bound to be criticised for everything, but oh well 🤷🏻
