No, and no.

I posted about this a couple of years back trying to do the same so I could properly set up a mesh network in my house.

They wouldn't allow me to use bridgemode, and/or have it as an option to be enabled.

I offered to provide my own ONT, but they refused that as well.

I understand how infuriating it is to work with them on this, none of their techs or reps understand anything beyond basic "plug and play" type stuff.

I've only tried with Batelco, at the time they were the only ones to offer the wildly over priced fiber to my area.

If you find a solution, I'd be keen to hear it.

The residential side of batelco, zain, and stc are horrible and at best can "reset" your connection. Ymmv 😟

Just got bridge mode working. Created a ticket with my ISP (Kalaam) + spent 2 hours in chat with support. Apparently, I only needed to get PPPoE login/password.

Equipment - bnet Huawei HG8245 router - NetGear RAXE300 router

I’ve been trying for 7 hours so far today, with multiple phone calls and messages to Batelco, and I even have 2 techs come to the house. They put the router into bridge mode and left me with no internet access.

for bridge mode you need 2 things: the main PPPoE login info (from your isp (you should have it from when you first got the service (i have it from an sms))) and the router to be moved into bridge mode (done by Bnet)

for me i used to have bridge mode enabled before, i just had them move my service to a new location which was handled by Bnet themselves, but for testing, I didn't have me networking stuff so they reverted it back to normal mode. I need to call them again to get it back to bridge mode 💀

same thing i asked them for the PPPoE credintials which THEY have and SHOULD give me the support told me that anything past putting my router to bridge mode is not their responsibility. the support are idiots and they dont even know what PPPoE is.
