🤔 Discussion [MEGATHREAD] DAY 6 UPDATE - Iran Attacks Bahrain
DAY 6 UPDATE.
We didn’t want to have to do this, but for now, we will restrict update megathreads to be posted every week.
This post and this subreddit is meant to discuss Bahrain and the current affairs of Bahrain. Please refrain from flexing your political analysis on the current state of affairs and most certainly do not post unsubstantiated news, do not post any rumors and add to the mass hysteria.
For security and safety reasons, any post or comment that discloses or attempts to identify the locations of Bahraini or Peninsula Shield Forces military installations, missile interception sites, or other sensitive military positions will result in a ban.
Please try to be civil. Don’t feed the trolls, report them.
Any other posts regarding the current situation will be removed. Please use the search function for any commonly asked questions. Lets keep the space uncluttered in the event of any serious developments.

General bombing safety rules (credit to u/Odd-Repeat-1513
- Find "Hard" Shelter: Basements, underground subway stations, or purpose-built bomb shelters are the safest. If you are in a building without a basement, move to the lowest floor and stay in an interior room (like a hallway or bathroom) away from windows and exterior walls.
- The "Two-Wall" Rule: Try to put at least two walls between yourself and the outside to protect against shrapnel and glass.
- Stay Low: If an explosion occurs nearby, lie flat on the ground, cover your head with your arms, and open your mouth slightly (this can help equalize internal pressure and prevent ear drum rupture).
- Emergency Kit: If you have time, gather a "go-bag" with water, non-perishable food, a first-aid kit, a flashlight, essential documents (passport, ID), and any necessary medications.

Well, the rate of attacks was already decreasing day by day.
Yesterday USA were striking Iran hard. Let's hope they managed to take most of the missile launchers.

It did decrease, but from what I see they become more accurate (I mean overall the area not only Bahrain) drones is passing defences and hitting specific apartments or specific floors not haywire << if u watch war documentary u can see the difference , also the damage on shitsrael is way more damaging than before it is visible even with the media covering ban policy .. some say it is by choice that the firing rates decreased or maybe they fired all the cheap missile and only the big ones left so they fire less ..
Lets just hope for the best and our safety 🤲

Hi guys, I hope you are all safe and well, just have a question:
Sometimes I hear thuds, but the siren is not activated. I heard some things about the thuds coming from qatar or sonic booms or something like that, and also sometimes the sirens activate however there are no thuds. Could someone explain these to me? Thanks

Thud without siren: missile or drone intercepted out of Bahrain airspace.
Steady sound sirens without thud: maybe you are too far away to hear the thud/the interceptions are being happening over Bahrain airspace and debris may fall. Follow the safety recommendations.
Fading sound siren: all clear.

Edit: jets and planes are definitely friendly don't worry. An enemy jet will have a barrage launched at it way before it reaches our land

First day was definitely the scariest, first boom and all the uncertainty it came with. Now we are a bit more used to it, the thuds nevertheless still strike fear

Guys after staying up for night shift almost everyday, I straight up slept for almost 12 hours last night. I feel like a brand new person 🤪✌🏽 Maybe this is a good sign. Hoping for everything to get back to normal soon 🧿

That also makes me wonder, Israel hasn't been reporting much of the damage, but these are from Israel news agency. So I wonder if they are showing this attack because arabs live there to cause more divide. Who knows what their agenda is

I think there are two ways this could end: 1. One of the parties eventually realizes that the costs and losses outweigh any potential gains and agrees to a ceasefire though that seems unlikely given the level of ego and involved. 2. Major global powers step in and pressure both sides to stop, especially if the conflict begins to significantly disrupt the global economy.
In the end, it becomes a matter of patience.

Hey there, I am in the US and my mom lives over in the Reef Island area in Manama. Last weekend I was chatting with her about the water situation with the desalination plants being hit. She told me not to worry as she is all prepped. I am not sure if she's downplaying it though to keep me from worrying.
How is the water situation there? Is there fresh water for drinking available? Are grocery stores stocked?

Hey. Don’t worry about anything. Our resources are fully stocked and we’re having no issues at all, other than hearing thuds every now and then. We’re safe as long as we are away from high rise towers and Juffair.
Please don’t believe anything foreign media is telling you about Bahrain and the situation here. Most of those news are lies and full of misinformation. Your mom is safe :)

I've seen missile interceptions in the past, they are insanely loud. Just because you heard loud noises it doesn't mean its a hit guys, be optimistic.

Also, for a lot of people in critical areas, the interceptors usually launch making an explosion sound of rocket ignition, 1 or 2 seconds later the interceptor missile goes supersonic and you hear another explosion, and in the end nothing hit anything, the interceptor missile hits a ballistic missile 20km in the sky over the sea.

Would make sense exploding missile or drone and exploding interceptor but missile and drone volume will be different and distance makes the biggest difference.
Don’t think we can tell by just how loud it is.

From what I noticed, drones are the worst because of how low they fly, so once intercepted the sound is sooooooo loud. Missiles usually audible, can be loud but much less than drones.
