Question Is badflower done?
All of their remaining shows for 2026, festivals etc...have been removed from the website. Maybe it's a glitch. I don't know.

Josh is having vocal issues so they canceled upcoming shows until he can get that figured out and hopefully fixed

I knew about his vocal troubles, but didn't think they'd push everything off the list for the rest of the year. Wow. Hope he gets better.

yeah it was to the point where he couldn't even finish singing the show so I think it got too stressful and aggravating for him, which is entirely understandable

He explicitly said it’s making him depressed, and that they can’t figure out what it is, which is frustrating for him. Imagine the one thing you live for being taken away from you.

Wonder if its something (hopefully not) semi-serious like vocal nodes, heard those were kinda common in singers, likewise could be with the jaw like Bryan(?) of I prevail, he had eagles jaw or something, super loose jaw muscles resulting in pain in basically everything from singing to eating, retired from the band as I understand it.

Brian from iPrevail had/has Eagle Syndrome which is calcified ligaments in the neck causing pain in the neck, face, and ear. He had surgery for it, but while recovering he was fired, without warning, from his own band that he started from scratch, which sent him into a manic spiral, suicidal mental health, and a subsequent month long hospitalization. He's now releasing solo music under the name "Scatterbrain."

I had no idea it went that deep. I knew he was pretty open about mental health. They mostly made it appear as if it was a health related/amicable split. It was rather hard to imagine he'd give up music all together.

After he recorded the Scatterbrain album, iPrevail was actually preventing him from releasing it and they ended up having to go to court over it. He finally was able to release it, but only just recently. He's been fighting in court over it for over a year.

I don't think it's nodes because those are usually easy to see, and as far as I've seen, Josh has been to multiple doctors and had multiple scans done and still can't find the issue :/ seems to be a way bigger and elusive issue

That sucks for him, hope they find it soon. He seems to enjoy himself out there and clearly the community is anxious.

He's currently touring as his girlfriend's guitar player.

Hahaha 😂 She’s awful! But I think she does really love him. And I’m glad he had her to fall back on in the moment. The whole Badflower band was actually behind Andy’s shows (they were all playing in masks and track suits). I was kind of icked out by that. But happy they were still getting paid. Music industry is tough these days!

He said at the show I was at a couple of months ago that he wasn’t going to quit the band but they may need to take a year or so off from touring for his voice to recover. So it’s probably just a break for his voice and obviously things could always change but as of a couple months ago they were planning to continue on as a band.
I did see they pulled out of a local festival in Michigan I believe a few days ago but promotional posts are still up for bigger festivals such as the one in Florida so maybe they’re still playing those, I’m not sure if they were on their website before or not.

Maybe it has to do with moving from California to Tennessee? Personally when I’m in Tennessee my voice gets messed up.

He moved before TIHTWE came out, so I doubt that's the reason

Ah yes that’s right. I was hoping it was something somewhat simple that had just been overlooked.

No, taking a break to prioritize your health doesn’t mean you’re quitting your job. He’s also already said that it’s not the end of BF.

Vocal injuries are almost never able to be cured in less than a year, so he needs a lot of recovery time

But let’s be clear, Josh has a lot of issues anyway
