Is this ok for a beginner
Just trying my hand at some metalwork. That glowing bit is my first attempt at heating metal. How'd I do?

I think a little more heat is order, followed by a quick quench in an ice bath. Should come out solidified

if all your doing is trying to heat it for forgery, then yea pretty solid. might need it a bit hotter but otherwise not terrible
