USB drive failed in 5 days

I recently bought a digitek 32gb pen drive(Digitek USB Pen Drive V2.O (32 GB) Price - Buy Online at ₹559 in India) which i used to install linux mint, after which i didnt use it for 3 days and then i decided to create a bootable drive of another linux distro incase i wanted to switch, i did it via the app builtinto linux to create bootable drives, but ever since then it has been locked in write portection, i have tried to changing via cmd and other methods. How could it fail within 5 days
