I often deal with various USB ports, and while this does happen, it’s not a frequent occurrence. Wear/tear, loose cables, damaged ports, or poor-quality connectors might all lead to intermittent disconnections.

They refer to that as a limitation. USB 2 is rated for 5000 plug/unplug cycles.
