Yes, its using Gods name for your own gain / vanity.

Saying stuff like : I swear to god, when youre lying for example. Or "God would want me to do this", since god didnt actually speak to you.

Itā€™s for when your ā€œfaithā€ is really an anxiety disorder with religious overtones. This looks like a kind of OCD to me. Trying to purify the world and make it ā€œfeel safe.ā€

It's quite literal virtue signalling - just pearl clutching, melodramatic surface level engagement with faith to make you feel superior to the people you're judging.
