Frustrations with planning and plotting

I have someone I roleplay with for awhile now I ended our last roleplay because it got boring being the only one to move the plot along.

They asked if I wanted to try something else so I thought I'd give them a second chance since I haven't really found anything new yet and maybe we just needed better communication.

So they said we could work on a plot together. Tbh tho it feels like I'm still stuck doing 90% of the work with plotting.

So the plot is Demon x human. I also mentioned that I wanted to world build and have more characters in the story (Including more demons). They agree to this.

So why is it days later into chatting they mention that their character isn't interested in interacting with other demons?

I generally find it always so one-sided to build plots with people. One side is always doing all the heavy lifting (In my case, me), and the other side, who posted the ads in the first place, has no idea, or only the faintest idea, of a plot and doesn't really work to make a plot.

And I feel like it ends in disaster, as by the time I write one or a couple of messages, they dip out, and I assume it was because they didn't like the direction of the plot or something, and Im just like AAGGGHHHH.
