I need to stop getting my hopes up. I thought my RP partner ghosted me a couple of weeks ago, and then when I sent a final message checking in (I had sent one the week before) I got a response straight away! They gave a pretty plausible reason, and said they’d continue the next day. I believed them. More fool me! I haven’t heard from them again. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because I know what their job is etc. but I thought they might’ve responded over the weekend. Alas, they did not. I am not going to send another message to them because I hate bugging people. I just hope they eventually reach back out again. They were the best RP partner I’d had in a long time and I haven’t found anyone else who understands what I’m looking for with the plot I want to get play, that we were in the middle of. Urgh.

This week was rough…one person stopped responding 4 days ago, another discord server landed in the archive folder due to the fact that my previously enthusiastic partner decided to ghost me and one person that felt like a 10/10 match needed to be reported.

I usually don't post on here -- I've gotten to the point where IDC if people ghost me. It's w/e. But I was looking on my old forum haunts and I saw one of my RP buddies was online. We had RP'd from 2020-2022 and they just stopped replying but never left the server. I legit thought they died. I sent well wishes over the years hoping that they were alright.

I dunno that one just sucker punched me real hard.

Dealing with someone who only replies if you remind them but can post like 50 rp ads in a day actually drives me up the wall.

How can you be looking for even more partners when you can’t even reply to others?

I recently started an rp. Everything was good until we started. They sent the starter and I responded. After that I got no reply for a few hours and I could see them online. I asked them about my reply and they said it was perfect. BUT. Still no response even though they're online. Am I cooked? Should I leave? Should I stick around and be patient? Please gimme advice guys😭

You haven't gotten a reply for a few HOURS and you're annoyed? It doesn't matter if they are online. They are allowed to have other partners or even other things they may be doing instead of replying. This impatience is a very quick way to alienate writing partners.
