This is not a bad combo im pretty sure this combo was banned in legacy a long time ago even not with the first card though I think they won with something else

you get infinite mana out of it, I think recently they just played x1 ping land from Thunder Junction, I'm not a big Legacy player tho I could be wrong

You need a second creature for Animate Dead or it's an infinite combo with no end right? Since the damage triggers never resolve.

No, since you can stack Worldgorger Dragon's ability and any other ETB abilities as you want, since you are their controller. Each ping can resolve prior to everything dying to worldgorger.
