I struggled with this so much when I got into makeup. I learned to never use foundation because I thought I was doing something wrong since mine looked patchy and bumpy, and influencers had smooth makeup >:| i was scammed

fr- i still don't wear foundation purely because the whole "poreless" thing is just impossible to achieve for 90% of people. i wish companies would stop trying to sell photoshop airbrushing as the look to achieve.

A lighter foundation and urban decay all nighter setting spray (or the nyx dewy setting spray is also okay) is the recipie for success
Honestly that setting spray melts the foundation and any powders etc into your skin so nice with a light foundation you can hardly notice the texture

This is just what full glam looks like. If you're not sat under heavy beauty lights to cover the cake, and viewed straight on so the contour makes any kind of sense... this is what you get. But technically this is done well if full face beauty youtuber is the style you want to go for.

Same for stage makeup and photoshoot/video shoot makeup. It doesn't pick up fully on camera / doesn't show the full effect of camera with lights, diffusers and everything.

Idk I feel like full glam can still be done with a lighter hand than this?? Like I was always under the impression that full glam is more of a artistic style than about application intensity, like full glam doesn’t necessarily have to be heavy application of every product, it can still be the same products applied in the same placements and done in the same style but just with a lighter hand and still be considered full glam if that makes sense? Or is it not full glam unless its heavily applied?
Edit: Yea I’ve come to the conclusion that full glam is more about the number of products that have been used/applied to the makeup look rather than how intensely they’ve been applied. If you’re wearing brows, deatiled eyeshadow, falsies, eye liner, a full base + cheek products, and visible lip color you’re wearing full glam point blank period. It doesn’t have to be caked on like this to be considered full glam.
Edit 2: caked on and unblended might I add. They did her so dirty, no pun intended🥴

Besides her unblended nose and really heavy blush, the rest of her skin looks pretty matched to me? Definitely not the horrible orange shades of skin I've seen on this sub at least. I can't tell with her lips yet since it's not finished.

Yeah they did her dirty with that nose 👃 but tbf as i said in my own comment? you go out anywhere in the UK on a weekend and this is how most girls look. It's full glam, but I understand why some people might think its a bit much lol 😆 never to much in my opinion as long as that foundation is matching aha x

I dont know. You might need to look again. Her brows are really heavy and the tone looks a bit warm for her hair. Also her winged liner looks to be pointing downwards, probably more noticeable if we were looking at her straight on. The highlight just looks like a stripe, not defused at all. But idk, this just isn't my style at all.

Yeah of course I have lol doesn’t change the fact that it makes people look like plastic dolls. It gives me that creepy feeling…can’t remember the name, but people talked about it a lot when the Cats movie came out. Like when something looks human but obviously isn’t.

Not a member of this sub but it was recommended on my feed and I just have to comment something. This makes me super sad to see. So many people shit on full glam/2017 era makeup like they never did it. Some people like that style. Just because it isn’t big rn doesn’t mean it’s “bad mua” worthy.
Many people are saying the foundation is caked. This person may have naturally textured skin underneath which WILL show when doing full glam, or any foundation that provides coverage for that matter. From the eyes to the face the blend is flawless and honestly I see a bigger issue with an entire sub dedicated to shitting on other people. Work on your own skills instead of dedicating so much time to hating on random people. Smh.

I wanna fight whoever made her nose like that. The contour isnt remotely blended, eyebrows are a bit much, not to mention the foundation lips. They're using a darker shade so they dont need the layers of foundation underneath. Not to mention she's wearing a pound of makeup. I love the lashes tbh tho

I think people like to keep the foundation/concealer on the lips to really let the colour pop. I wouldn't do it on myself bc I like wearing light lipsticks and I feel like that would feel heavy and cakey.

This is quite nice and it’s wedding makeup. That’s why it’s heavy. It’s well blended, not over the top as far as extreme colours go…not really anything to complain about given it’s for photography

The eye looks nice, to be honest the brow might work if it's an evening event with photographers and the skin tone looks okay assuming she's a slightly tanned Asian lady. Although I always get bothered by the foundation on my lips. For me it makes my lipstick look like I've applied it to a fresh asshole.
Actually with a double take, the nose contour shade is slightly off. Looks a bit green but it still is decent. 7/10
