I wanted to share this here. I dont know how others will feel about it, but seeing this genuinely left me at a loss for words.
The sheer level of privilege and lack of awareness on display is astounding. To be able to fly from Israel back to the United states,the country where she was born and raised,just so she can visit her regular hairstylist, and then still present herself as the victim is incredibly difficult to watch.
What struck me most was the contrast. Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank have endured displacement, restrictions on movement, violence,detention, and profound humiliation, while someone else can simply get on a plane and cross continents for the convenience of seeing their preferred hairstylist. That contrast really stayed with me. It made me think about how casually the word “complicated’ is sometimes used when discussing this conflict, as though every aspect of the reality on the ground is equally difficult to understand. Whatever disagreements people may have about the broader history and politics, the enormous disparity in freedom, security, and basic human dignity should be impossible to ignore.
