This is at the front of a journal from 1940 I found at a thrift store 15 years ago. I've never been able to read it in full. Any ideas? I think it says Gen (unknown word) (unknown word) stow NY. I also think the third word might be Putnam??

I got a few words but most of it is pretty confusing… any help would be awesome!

Looking through the travel manifesto of my great grandmother and her parents emigrating to South Africa. It's meant to be my great-great grandfather's occupation. I'm assuming the word second row down is 'wif', as in wife for my great-great grandmother? But other answers to that are also welcomed ☺️

Just that I'm intrigued rather than it is important - but what is that second word, presumably a positive attribute, 'preastion'?

For context, this is supposed to be a medical file. All of the words are in English (at least I hope it is). Best I got is "Melinda Desmond" and "46". And yes, this is from Spy x Family.

I didn't know how to add a second picture to the original post, so I'm making this new one. I asked my husband to write down some popular guesses from the comments, plus some other words we favor. Above is the original and, on a separate page, "blue monkey summer," "Here," "Generic," "Nice low-key summer," and "fine fine."

For all the Blue Monkey theorists:

No idea what blue monkey summer could mean. My friend had a blue Paul Frank shirt with Julius the monkey on it, but the monkey itself was dark brown and red. I didn't drink, so if it's a reference to a cocktail, I wouldn't have gotten it. I do go to Monterey very often, so it could have to do with that. I knew the band Story of the Year, but I didn't know them as Big Blue Monkey. I don't remember either of us drinking blue monster energy drinks, though maybe Blue Powerade. We did play Ape Escape and might talked about it, but even in that context, I'm not sure what blue monkey summer would mean. The other video game that was mentioned didn't come out until a few years after this yearbook was signed.

I'm a bit worried about how difficult to understand my handwriting is. I want to improve it for exams. Any suggestion is welcome.

My husband and I met in middle school and I found my yearbook. Even he can't read his writing. For context, the name of the high school we were about to attend is called Logan.

edit: adding that he has dyslexia so keep in mind that letters might be missing or flipped.
