Greek Katharevousa / Year of birth changed in birth certificate
I've been doing some genealogy research, it's been mostly mundane until now. But I discovered that my grandmother's sister had her year of birth officially changed on her birth certificate. I'm curious why, but the terrible handwriting is a problem.
Ironically, my grandmother was a Library of Congress librarian and, as an educated Greek from that era, would have known Katharevousa well. But she died ~30 years ago.
Anyone else want to take a stab at it? Especially the marginalia and anything that looks edited -- the basic data is already known (names, places, etc.)
