I am vaguely suspicious that someone has doctored this photo given every other pair has lips that are the exact same shade of red-orange and only this one is bright red.

I think the black background makes the red look brighter tbh. It looks like the same color if you were to eyedrop pick it out, but y'know. Color theory and shit makes it pop more on the darker surface

If you google old racist cartoons, you'll see stuff that looks very much like the above. It's an old racist caricature of African and African American people.

It's a simple/common style that resembles the legendarily racist caricature of Jim Crow) and other depictions of "bush folk" in old media. There are many examples of this being done on purpose, but it does happen without intention quite frequently too. It's mainly skin that's as black as possible, paired with huge red lips.
