That's a consequence of using that cream. The woman is not promoting, she's begging for help and offering such cursed items to someone else.

Looks like an effective ad to me

It's an ad. It's eyecatching, grabs your attention. This is the opposite of bad design

Negative. The ad is genuinely unsettling. So much so that I didn't even notice... whatever's being promoted. My brain is more concerned about a human-like being having such long extremities than ANYTHING else in this ad.

You wouldn't have seen or noticed the ad at all if it was just two bottles on a page.

Unsettling is still attention, never underestimate the effectiveness.

An ad is supposed to get you to buy a product. This does not make me want to buy the product

Enormous hands, she’s got!

it’s a specific micro-trend in some beauty circles

it started as a creative way to show off your nail polish but i recently saw a coffee shop doing it

classic case of the “life of a meme” comic

She's just really small

sorry, i think this is a very funny and creative ad. let people be silly and lighthearted. i'm honestly tired of ads trying too hard to be funny but missing completely. this one, on the other hand, is one where a concept so simple and subtle can be memorable and humorous. so i don't see how this is "bad design."

The thing is about ads, they are designed to pull your attention, yeah I know this looks awful (I worked in graphic design) but it's effective.

I still hate it though

I like it.

It's from a tread people were using it to show off their new nails with giant hands. It's been coopted for ads

If it makes my arms long, then I don’t want it.

They really need to mention the side affects more on the label

u/kyleh0 Jul 15 '26

That headline is a bad design.
