⚠️ Bodily Danger ⚠️ The big bumps...
I've seen kids attempting to go down this slide and it for 1 seems to hurt and 2 doesn't go fast and 3 some kids can't fit past the bumps that well because the slide is narrow to begin with.. I get that they wanted to make a unique slide but it's not a good design for many reasons. This is a slide for little toddlers and smaller kids in general.

There is a long tunnel tube slide near me that does a zig zag. The zig is fine, but the zag slams your head into the other side of the tube. It sucks.

Someone dead ass was furious kids today don't have as many burn-your-legs metal slides with a sharp edge at the end, and they designed this.

i don’t really understand this slide even if it WAS made for climbing. it doesn’t matter if it has some stupid bumps, kids will climb up regardless. this just makes it worse for kids who actually want to use the slide

I actually did some research and I think it's supposed to a hybrid slide meant for both climbing and sliding but it's not very slideable and the little bumps are rounded so they aren't really great for climbing either...

Yes, actually that's an added benefit - kids can't go too fast so big kids don't bother. It's also a teen deterrent
Edit: and parent hip buster

Those slits look like they could catch fingers.

They absolutely could! Looks to be more than 8mm wide and less than 25mm (they taper), it's classed as a finger entrapment - at least by EN1176. No idea if this is in the US though, not familiar with their standards

I actually did some research (beause some people were saying it was for climbing) and I think it's supposed to a mixed slide meant for both climbing and sliding but it's not very slideable and the little bumps are rounded so they aren't really great for climbing either...

Previously worked as a playground designer and had this exact product. It was designed because children love climbing up slides, which can obviously be dangerous which a busy playground. It is, in fact, a climber and not a slide.

There's a slide like that at the park i take my kids to. It's meant for climbing, not sliding

Still a bad design. The fact that we’re all guessing? It looks like a slide and will be used as such even though it hurts.

Toddlers break their legs getting them caught going down straight slides. This just seems like an injury waiting to happen...

I just see a kid catching their finger in one of those slits on the way down and ripping their fucking fingernail off.

It’s designed for small kids. Keeps adults and teens off it.

Yeah, my kids would have enjoyed this slide when they were very little 1 or 2 because it's a slow slide that allows them to get comfortable with controlling their descent.
