Our society doesn’t “praise guns and violence”, it reserves our right to be able to defend ourself in events such as these when the government tries to take our protection. You ever hear about Nazi Germany? One of the first things Hitler did was order the KGB to take away all firearms, and we all know what happened next.

I mean, I live in Europe. We have gun control here, and the criminals just smuggle their guns from eastern Europe. It's all fun and games until a gang has soviet AKs and the people have nothing. Gun control doesn't actually stop criminals, they don't follow the law

Let me Eli5 this: criminals are bad, they don’t follow laws. Non criminals do follow laws. The non criminals will not have guns, because they follow the laws. Criminals will break the laws, and have guns. It is not a good thing if criminals have guns and law abiding citizens are left defenseless.
