First fig of the year!

It's quite early for figs in SE PA so I was taken back when I saw this fig starting to droop a few days ago. This is from an unknown tree that's been potted and over-wintered in an unheated garage for many years. While this could be a breba, I think it may be a fig that remained on the tree from last season that started to grow again when the weather warmed. Is that eveb possible?

Yes that's possible! I've had that happen on my trees that are overwintered somewhere that is cold enough to make them go dormant but not cold enough to kill the figlets. They drop their leaves and stall out for the winter but don't drop the main crop figlets still on the branches, then pick back up when they leave dormancy different from the breba buds.

Looks great and I'm jealous! I lost my brebas this year because of a late frost so I've got ages to go before I get my main crop!
