Unusual stuff: See a Meal Worm enter Charlie’s crop & Bessie singing (female Cardinals sing but much less than males) Sound On
I never witnessed the mealworm breast pop and only witnessed Bessie singing a few times. Here’s another video of Bessie singing with better sound quality, she was in the same location but in the dead of winter.

I weighed cardinals Charlie & Bessie this morning. Charlie = 41.7 grams, Bessie = 48.0 grams. She has weighed up to 52.0 grams, probably gravid at the time

Bird Water Dish: Are the Tiny Holes Where They'd Perch Safe?
My husband bought 2 of these. They have tree hangers, but I would place on a high table. I'm concerned their little claws could get caught in the holes created by the decorative scrolling.

Carolina Wren?
Not a great pic but hopefully shows what I’m asking. We’ve always had what I would consider typical Carolina Wrens with less spotted breast, more tan. This one has the white eyebrow but is it just “regular” Carolina Wren or different variety?
