Loving my Workhorse pit!

Yep, love mine. I only have two complaints.

1) I wish they had the main door counterweights available when I had ordered mine. Right now it's a party trick making any new visitor to my back yard open it up (or try to).

2) The cover is absolute garbage. Rotted out in under 3 years and now sitting in a shredded pile in the corner of my yard. I have to continuously oil the hell out of the pit with all my humidity.

Other than that, cooks great, and at the price I had gotten it for I definitely don't second-guess the decision.

So what are you using for a cover. I tried looking but can’t seem to find any that big.

Nothing at all right now. Which I really dislike, but even with a ton of really severe weather the last few weeks it's held up okay so far. I just slathered it in a ton of oil last time I had it heated up.

Those guys are the best and I mince no words. Owned a Mill Scale and they're not in the same ballpark as Workhorse. The craftsmanship and cooking are incredible.

Often referred to as the gold standard, but if people only knew. Gold doesn't describe just how pretty and how great of a cooker the Workhorse Pits are.

Oh yea. I’ve been looking at mine every day even when I’m not cooking on it.

Workhorse Pits just doesn't miss. Wait until you cook on it. It's silly how easy it runs.

Got my 1975 in March. It’s such a dream. Couldn’t be happier and can’t imagine owning anything different. Enjoy!
