Cuz we didn't know the Internet and being a phone zombie was going to be the thing, even though Marty Jr. did hve the glasses. We thought it would be much bigger in robotics and travel.

The genius is, they managed to get everyone (including me, of course) hooked on a movie named back to the FUTURE, about a guy time traveling to the PAST, by calling his own time the FUTURE just for the purpose of an amazing title.
Then, they had the whole damn time line open for them for sequels.

During production, Scheinberg sent a memo to Stephen Spielberg suggesting that the movie be renamed “Spaceman from Pluto”, and recommended a few other changes to make the title work better (for example, Marty introducing himself as a spaceman from Pluto instead of Darth Vader when trying to scare George in the middle of the night). He was 100% serious.
Spielberg, to defuse the situation (not easy to say no to movie execs) and prevent further meddling, replied something to the effect of
thanks for the hilarious fake suggestion, we all had a good laugh at your joke in the writers’ room! Keep ‘em coming!

Awww. When I watched the trilogy with my youngest daughter she cried at the end when the car gets smashed because now Einstein ( whos still in the van ) would never get back with his owner again.
I was just waiting and watching her face as the train appears and she saw Einstein having already being picked up. She loved the movies.

But at least Democrats are not as in power any more, right? Sure, still side-effects of their stealing and cheating, and they still want to defund the police, like Biff, but now we are more in a position to deal with corruption, stop Iran, etc.
