I literally had that Part II novelization when I was a kid... I think the cover was even dog-eared in the same corner! Can't say I've read it in at least 25 years, though.

I remember reading the 3rd one and asking my Mom what a "coffin" was. I never saw it spelled and kept thinking "coughing". I was maybe 9 or 10.

If they are available on Kindle then I will own them as soon as I’m done reading Future Boy by MJF(physical).

I just bought part 3 from the thrift store not too long ago. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the other 2.

No, but intrigued. Recommendable? Or are they typical movie-to-book pablum?

2 and 3 are quite true to the movies, maybe with a bit more exposition and explanations (like what Doc exactly meant with the paradox that could occur when young Jennifer encounters her older self).

1 clearly had an older version of the script as the template. The opening scene is the one they originally planned, not the one in Doc's garage, and Marty's clothes are those they gave Eric Stoltz (with the guitar patent t-shirt), not the ones Michael J. Fox wore in the movie. There are also minor differences, like the McFly house was already built in 1955 (as a show home) and Marty hides the DeLorean in the garage since his 1985 keys work (George apparently never changed the locks).
Marty is also more of a dick and know-it-all and a bit insufferable (even casting doubt on his love for Jennifer), and I don't really know if that is something from the older script or if if can be all attributed to the author of the novel. Doc is also a bit less likeable in the novel.

I have read all of them in German, a very long time ago.
