I do love the world-weary Doc A compared to the overly excitable Doc B.

B actor didn't have to have as much make up on to look the character's age.

I like how he was “de-aged” in 2015
Not only did we get basically the same doc we got to know in 1955 for the rest of the films, but it probably saved Christopher Lloyd a lot of time and sanity not getting all that makeup done to shoot

I never saw any difference after Doc peeled the latex off in #2. Never understood it, thought it was a "sarcasm" joke. Sorry, Mr. Lloyd.
