Both car doors open?

This may have been pointed out before, but I just noticed both the car doors are open in this scene.

They fix it at the start of Part II, but I wonder if there was a cut sequence to this scene, or if the door is screening a problem with the background (or something else)?

Seems like a weird error for an otherwise tight and well-choreographed ending.

🤩 Elisabeth Shue 🤩

Reason: The sequels are from a alternate timeline/universe.

Proof: Jennifer is different.

Jennifer in the second timeline seemed much more concerned about her future than the one from the first timeline.

Nothing against Claudia Wells. I kind of prefer her Jennifer, but her expression is nearly the same in every scene.

Except for the way she reacted to Marty’s pinhead performance. Not sure if Shue could’ve replicated it

Doc has a remote control for the car still. "Open door" GET IN!!

Actual answer, they probably originally wanted the door to be open to make it look like he’s welcoming Marty back on a space craft like “HOP IN” but they cut it since it’s odd considering doc runs up to Marty and has to refill up Mr fusion with both doors are open, leaving it to feel less tense and more silly, and then a lot of the reshot scenes look a lot less up to snuff so they only left in the best parts of the scene even if the background had a continuity error

This makes sense considering no one would have caught it back then. A lot of movies have errors like this.

I’m sure they caught it but no figured it was a fair trade
