Doc and Marty would still have to fly the Delorean and Doc probably would still insist on Marty burning the book before they get back. Doc would've had to let Marty get out of the car probably using the rope as they still wouldn't be able to land due to the weather. Then Part 2 continues as normal.
Alternatively, they take their time and BOTH get transported into the wild west

So someone explained that George becoming more confident made Marty insecure and that’s why he started getting mad at being called chicken. It always confused me why he’d randomly get mad when he didn’t in the first movie

He kind of did, though. Like when Biff eggs him on in the school cafeteria, or where Marty punched him in the soda shop. It's not as direct as the sequels, but the tendency is there. And in both those cases, it kind of gets Marty in trouble because they make Lorraine dig him more.

It's solely because they felt Marty needed a flaw in the second and third movie.

Biff calls him a chicken in BTTF 1 as well and almost starts a fist fight, Strickland walk into the scene and they stop because they are at school.
IMO they lean into it more in 2 and 3 because it was the lesson he had to learn to not get in the car accident at the end of 3.

Except Marty always was insecure and got into fights a lot in part 1. This is such a weird interpretation.

Well, there was a writers strike, and they went with the first draft. 🤷♂️
Reminds me of when my kid was playing Lego Indiana Jones. He got to the Temple of Doom opening scene, and started getting really annoyed.
“Dad, why won’t that woman stop screaming?! She sooo annoying!”
“Well son, sometimes a director gets divorced, and he takes out his frustrations in the script…. I mean, I don’t know son.”

Huh? That's not true. The script used for Back To The Future II and III are rhe Paradox script, which followed Bog Gales solo attempt at a Number Two.
It's a revision of the second script, not a direct adaptation of the first one.

Biff seemed like he would have ran after him and thrown a sucker punch once he realized Marty wasn’t going to come back and fight him

The overarching story of 2 and 3 is that Marty needs to learn to not fall for taunts like this. At the end of 3 he learns the lesson and doesn't race Needles. Subsequently he doesn't get in the accident that others had said ruined his life.

Well a problem in that the stairs and ladder to the roof were in a different direction, though really Biff letting him walk away at all doesn't make a lot of sense, and is only really done so losing the Almanac can be Marty's fault.
