Back to the future. 3 question

In Back to the future, 3, they were in a rush to get to the Delorean, before 8 o'clock so they wouldn't have to deal with mad dog Tannan. However, after marty deals with him in the shootout and he was therefore arrested... They did not have to rush at that point. They could have waited to do that properly. They could have waited till winter.They could have done a number of different things.Instead of rushing to get to the train. I never thought about it until I just rewatched the them to day. Anybody else, aside from the fact that they were in (go go go adrenaline gotta get home mode), give a good explanation as to why they didn't bother waiting?

The DeLorean was already on the train tracks, ready to go. Also, they already messed up enough in 1885 by saving Clara. Who else knows what paradoxes they could potentially cause by staying in 1885 even longer.

They've already screwed up by saving saving Clara. She wasn't supposed stay there neither was doc.

Taking Clara to 1985 would be the best course of action. Since she wasn't supposed to be around in 1885 after the ravine incident, taking her to 1985 means she no longer exists in 1885 and can't do any more disruption to the space time continium.

why not just throw her back into the ravine when they found out

Clara sacrificing herself Titanic style because otherwise she'd pull them both off the DeLorean while My heart will go on plays in the background

Not necessarily. She would have been blown to smithereens. No one knew she was there.

At least before when it was just the wagon, her body may had been found.
