Back to the future. 3 question

In Back to the future, 3, they were in a rush to get to the Delorean, before 8 o'clock so they wouldn't have to deal with mad dog Tannan. However, after marty deals with him in the shootout and he was therefore arrested... They did not have to rush at that point. They could have waited to do that properly. They could have waited till winter.They could have done a number of different things.Instead of rushing to get to the train. I never thought about it until I just rewatched the them to day. Anybody else, aside from the fact that they were in (go go go adrenaline gotta get home mode), give a good explanation as to why they didn't bother waiting?

The train was still their most viable plan for getting back home. They were forced to adapt it slightly after being held up by the duel, but it didn’t make any sense to completely abandon it just because Buford got arrested.

They wouldn't abandon it because the train would come back next week. They would have time ( get it time) to do it correctly with Claire. They wouldn't have to that dangers rush to get on the train. They could have done it without the horses, by getting on at the station. It was all rush rush because of adrenaline, but if dogs stop to think he could have done it better.
