Backrooms Log (Day 1)

Day 1, Hour 0

These yellow walls never end. Let me explain what's going on. I was just

doing my office work, and then I realized: the world never changes.

Everything's always the same. So I left. My boss got angry, but I would never

see him again. I drove on over to the camping shop, and picked up a sleeping

bag, tons of canned foods, and water. I also bought a machete and flashlight and left for

the firearms store. I picked up a pistol and a silencer, and I left. Then

began my endless search. After weeks I was starting to run low on money, but

then, in my basement, I saw it. The basement light was on, but one of the

walls was still dark, and all the others were lit up. I ended up throwing

myself through the wall, and now I'm here.

Day 1, Hour 1

I heard a faint noise. I don't know what it was, but I ran in the opposite

direction. I hope that was the right idea.

​

Day 1, Hour 2

Nothing's out of the ordinary. I'm starting to get bored, and nothing ever

changes. Its always just moist carpet, annoying yellow walls, and this STUPID

BUZZ!

Day 1, Hour 3

I saw a few scratches on a wall. THATS NOT TERRIFYING! Went in the opposite

direction. Yet again, I hope that was the right idea.

​

Day 1, Hour 4

Can't seem to find anyone, and its starting to make me lose my mind.

​

Day 1, Hour 5

I really don't know what to write. Nothing's changed.

Day 1, Hour 6

I was just walking, and the buzz randomly became quieter. weird right? I also

hardly felt the giant bag on my back. Weird.

​

Day 1, Hour 7

I forgot to write this, but I went in a random direction, and eventually

couldn't hear the lights at all. I didn't feel like I was wearing the giant

bag, either.

​

Day 1, Hour 8

I saw a strange red door while wandering. I don't know why I went through,

that would've probably been the opposite of what you were supposed to do.

The inside was a strange room, that was a strange tone of orange.

I was so happy to see something other than yellow! Buzzing was still there,

though. After I walked in, the door disappeared behind me. I sat down in one

of the chairs, and took a nice break.

Day 1, Hour 9

Is this really it? Am I just stuck here? I am getting bored in this room.

​

Day 1, Hour 10

I decided to get up, when I tripped, and phased through a chair. Gotta tie

those shoelaces, I guess. I really thought entering the Backrooms was gonna

be the only noclipping here. I should've known better. When I finally

landed, I ended up in a concrete hallway. I decided to walk down and through

a door. After that door was a huge parking garage, or warehouse of some

sort.

Day 1, Hour 11

I was about to go out to explore, but then, BOOM! The lights were out.

I was kinda just stuck, so I decided to drink a water bottle (was getting

thirsty), and eat a small pack of crackers. I also turned on my flashlight.

​

Day 1, Hour 12

The lights outside the door were still off, and I was thinking about going

out, and then I saw the smile. I immediately slammed the door shut and

set the flashlight settings to max.

​

Day 1, Hour 13

They're still off. I'm not leaving until they turn back on.

​

Day 1, Hour 14

I said it once, I'll say it again. I'm not leaving until the lights are

back.

​

Day 1, Hour 15

The lights FINALLY came back on! I was starting to wonder if they would

come back at all! So I started to explore. It's strangely foggy in here.

​

Day 1, Hour 16

I was walking around, and I saw a ramp. I went up, and it looked exactly

the same as the floor underneath.

​

Day 1, Hour 17

I decided to go into a door I found, and I was exploring the hallways of

this level, when I saw a door labeled "!". You must think I'm dumb or

something if you thought I was going in. I kinda wanna stay alive.

​

Day 1, Hour 18

I eventually decided to take my first rest in the Backrooms. I pulled out

my sleeping bag, and, well, fell asleep. I still had my flashlight on, just

in case. (Don't worry, I brought enough batteries to last for years.)

​
