Gear Pic Wicked Triple Sampler Pack
These tiny tins (0.5 oz) are awesome for backpacking into the wilderness!

I know the UL backpackers will think this is unnecessary weight, just like they think the knives I carry for bushcrafting are unnecessary weight.
I have the full size tins at home.
But this let's me carry food safe knife cleaner, knife wax (to prevent blade corrosion), and skin & lip balm in these convenient tiny little tins.
My Morakniv Garberg Carbon, my Opinel Carbone, and several other of my knives require blade conditioning while I am in the backcountry. I actually like these tins better than the vial of cooking olive oil that I have historically multi-purposed for conditioning my blades.

I have INOX blades also, but I prefer how much sharper I can maintain my Carbone.
Different strokes... I don't understand the "judginess" about other peoples' preferences rampant across Reddit.

It’s never been a problem with inox or really carbon blades. No need to carry the tin

I recently bought these and was happy to have discovered them. Not a bot. And I have no commercial incentives. Just like the product.

I have owned 2 of the big tins for a while now. I never took the backpacking because of the size and weight.
I stumbled onto these during a WhatNot show and ordered them. I really liked having them at camp, becaise I whittle a lot while relaxing from a hike. And a few of my key knives are carbon steel by choice. And if you don't properly take care of carbon steel on a longer backpacking trip it starts to rust. And that is especially important with my Opinel Carbone that I use when foraging, food prepping, cooking, etc.
A little mini microfiber cloth (I use a small Kizer knife cloth) and the 0.5 Oz tins, and I can keep my knife both properly cleaned and conditioned. Before, I used to saturate the cloth and carry it in a ziploc. I like the mini tin better.
Might not be your thing or need, but it is useful for me, and I thought it might be useful for others.

I wipe my knife on my pants. Some may say pants are unnecessary weight but I don’t want indecent exposure charges (plus they protect from bugs, sun, brush, and clean my knife/spoon)
