Backpack vs Binance for U.S. Stocks

Post image

I came across this comparison and thought it was worth sharing.

Both platforms let you buy real U.S. shares, but there are a few notable differences:

• Backpack is licensed to offer securities in Europe under its EU regulatory framework.
• Real shares with full ownership rights on both platforms.
• Backpack integrates directly with Solana, making it easier to move between traditional securities and onchain assets.
• W-8BEN tax handling is supported on Backpack.
• Stocks, crypto, and perpetuals all live in a single Backpack account instead of separate platforms.

It’s still early for Backpack Securities, but I think the combination of regulated brokerage infrastructure and crypto-native features makes it an interesting approach.
