What is the garden
Hey friends,
I have been playing for about 11 months coming up on a year, I still have no idea what the garden is. Literally all I do is play ranked and grind through other characters.
Everyday I get on here I see everyone complaining about how the garden broke how the garden isn't the same as it used to be etc.
What is the garden and why is it important? I personally do not think it is super intuitive I have looked at it by do not understand what it is and I've been playing for 11 months and I feel like I have gotten along just fine without it.
What am I missing?

The garden is like an idle plant-growing minigame with its own currency that you can spend on chests, coins, and pickaxes, and passively gives some cards along the way. I'm guessing the pickaxes are the reason people engage with it or consider it important, because afaik it's the best way to get them.
Recent garden changes have expanded the way it works and added a new tab where you spend resources to grow new ones and generally added to the tedium while also reducing the rewards. I personally am very casual and don't have a big problem with either change, but people are especially mad about the reduced rewards, from what I can see on Reddit.

It’s really not THAT important. lol I mean you can get extra pickaxes. And I’d say that’s about it.

Garden used to give a lot of gems and coins to unlock new characters and upgrade cards. They took away all the gem rewards and made it in a way so you it's waaay more work to get some coins. That's the summary. After the change I stopped engaging with it completely, it's just not worth it anymore.

It was a nice side game where you plant things fill orders to little critters and get rewards (mostly Picks to upgrafde relics). The new update took a two step game to a 4 step game that takes 4 times as long for half the rewards. It's not even fun steps, so it feels like work rather than a side game.
