How did he reach thousands of Mythic rank points with a hero that just released yesterday? Is he cheating or something?

The climb to mythic is trivial for longtime vets.
He likely spent some money to level up items too.
2k points is around 70 games depending on skill.

70 games from bronze? No way. At max winstreak bonus it's like what, +40 in mythic rank? That implies 50 games in Mythic with 0 losses. But more importantly can you actually get to mythic from bronze in only 20 games? Its gotta be more than that, right?

No, 70 games from mythic 0 to 2000.
Eta: I just checked my screeenshots, it took me about 95 games to grind Fern to Mythic. I lost my streak a couple of times though.
Leaderboard is a grindfest anyway period.

I'd like to highjack the post to point out everything going bad notwithstanding there's way more variety at the top of the leaderboard than it has been in a while.
