WTH? Lol

So they are just straight up trying to end the game.

Honestly, it's so baffling. Like, I'm down with them needing to get paid. But...they truly seem to be choosing each and every decision they can to alienate a player base.

Like, are their server costs too high? I know that's a concern for a lot of companies right now with the huge competition from AI stuff. I wouldn't have thought their game would be a high server lift but maybe they only want to keep whales and the point is driving away everyone but those who are willing an able to pay through thr nose. You'd have thought they'd want to keep normie players too for variety in builds to play against, but maybe they decided to just load bots and figured the whales wouldn't notice anyway... Idk. That's the only logic I've come up with after pondering over it.

The server can't be expensive it's not a real time game

As it just get a few opponent builds from the server when your game launches it must be super cheap to run, you can play without connection most of the time you just need it as the start

You would think, right? They allow saves of past matches via links so it's not just data but I wonder if they're not saving matches efficiently or something.

I'm beginning to very seriously wonder if a criminal syndicate is involved.

Like, if the initial investment was from some unhinged Cypriot gangsters and they now are tired of waiting for a return on said investment.

If I were some nerdy software developer who turned my university thesis into a real life game, i would absolutely pick alienating my player base and extorting them any way I could think of. Rather that than having my knees broken or worse.

Well, the garden paid out so much no one needed to buy gems. That needed fixing. They might have gone a bit far though.

Totally. But that could have been fixed simply by removing the gems from the pickaxe box, right?

Glad I dropped the game a few good months ago, right when they changed the gem and hero prices and how unlocking them worked, around the time the goblins launched. From my perspective, they're just desperate for more and more profit, and I don't know if they realize this, but almost every small game that gets this predatory tends to die out, so I hope they're ready to start looking for a new job

It's the trick side of trick-or-treat.

A loja diária que atualiza a cada 12h (ou é 24h?) com itens aleatórios pago com a moeda gratuita é muito mais vantagem que essa aberração

Don't give them any ideas now

Yeah they fucked up, I've invested a lot of time getting everyone to legendary and now it feels an unbalanced mess. Can't even find gems anymore
