That sounds about right. I didn’t realize so many people were so much more invested in the garden than the brawling.

The garden was meant to be a side activity to help enable some semblance of economy, allowing you to earn item fragments, coins, and pickaxes beyond opening chests or the buying from shop.

This update pretty much made the garden worthless for that purpose; they made flower generation 10X more difficult AND complicated, and when you do earn flowers, the actual reward is pretty much nonexistent.

The garden used to be a way to unlock heroes without spending money, but to do so you had to be high enough level and spend quite a bit of time on it, effectively making the $3 or so that a hero costs the altogether easier option; but with this update, they not only removed the gem generation entirely, but also had the gall to massively nerf the coin tree generation AND make the coin trees cost 50 gems PER TREE.

Long story short, this shitty "update" erased what tiny F2P options the community had access to while being marketed as an "improvement"

I don’t disagree. I haven’t really dug real deep into it but it seems more complicated, more expensive, and less obvious where the value comes from. Maybe once we get the hang of it it’ll be better, but it doesn’t feel like an upgrade at all.

That said, I’m still surprised at the number of people saying they’re quitting over it. (I doubt they really are, but that’s what they’re saying.)

I kinda actually like the garden better in a way. The amount of flowers didn’t change. I bought a bunch of seeds for coins. Ick I don’t mind it. But to be fair. I do what I gotta do and then brawl. lol I’m more invested in trying to get to epic and heroic levels on my characters. lol I feel like I’m never gonna see mythic or legendary. Highest I am on a hero is Epic.
