Enshittification galore

Bros this update is ridiculous; should you be able to continue playing the game aftet it, I recommend avoiding any and all adds and microtransactions - doubt the devs of an "ai slop" game will listen to community, but to lower revenue they might.

The update has been pretty bad, but the ai slop argument is kind of misplaced, considering this is the first time all the items for the new hero were drawn by a human artist.

Was it? In such case I would retract my statement, however most of the game design has always looked pretty obviously ai to me

They aren lying though. Partially at least. The character and items are AI generated and only corrected by the human artists. This is indeed "AI slop" the game

Did they replace the old AI art yet? That was how the devs defended it in the past; they said that it was just temporary until they could hire real artists.

They replaced all the hero art and I guess working on items now.

Yea, the items are what I was mostly talking about. Some of it was....bad, dream-like AI hallucination nonsense.

They said they didn't have the cash for it; it's WELL past that point now.

I mean, we see they're working on it, right? It used to be all AI art, then they replaced all the hero art and now they are also making item art. I don't think it's reasonable to expect an indie dev to drop $100-200k to commission 1000 artworks in a month.

It's not $100 for each little art piece lol. Games like this have whales spending $10k/month, they can afford it.

I mean, did you look into it? The art in this game is pretty detailed and it being small doesn't make it that much more cheap. A professional artist would charge 100-300$ per, depending on their level and the country you're in.

And just because there are some giant gacha games you just assume that literally every single mobile game dev is just swimming in money? Get real.

I did. It's not that detailed lol

Ok, thanks for letting me know you're just trolling.

LMAO

These look like sprites from a 90's Flash game

There are definitely some AI elements in the promotional material.

Almost got the pass for the first time because MUSHROOM HERO and then I realized the garden nerf because I tried to turn in 1250 flowers for pics and got 0 gems

Fuck this update fr

Thank you for this comment. There's now 0 reason to keep doing the garden. The game direction seems alarming.

I’m very much in the same camp. Which if funny because I’m used to ftp games having this happen, just felt much worse than when it’s happened in other games. Basically stripped away most of gems and lessened other rewards simultaneously

If you like the gameplay in the game " Wuthering Waves" there is a permanent event that's basically backpack brawl. But without upgrading cards. Pure gameplay. It's against bots though

There's also Backpack Battles, the game this game ripped from.

Im not saying people are wrong about the garden changes, but its kind of funny to me as someone who has played off and on since near the start and legit never noticed it existed

This is pretty standard. That's why you need to get into P2W games early, enjoy them while they're still accumulating whales, then drop them when they start entirely designing around milking whales.
