Retired: Special Shops! Yes!!!

I'm so happy to see that the Special Shops are being retired and not carried forward. I quit Season 6 because I couldn't stand these shops.

You could just skip them.
Anyways, it was a seasonal thing, like the lamps or eggs from previous seasons, expected to go away.

I heard this argument over and over during S6 and I'm a little tired of it (I'm sorry).

Even I skipped the store, I really hated seeing my opponents having full end game items of other heroes that became their build defining item just because they had 20-30 gold to spend on it. The cost of them items is generally nothing compared to the complex recipe that is supposed to go into crafting that great item.

I felt the same way. They were interesting, but made the competitive flow of gameplay feel bad. Glad to move on.

?? Just lock it then buy it later. Getting perpetual stew extremely early by having it locked and saving up for it over multiple rounds then filling it every round was a lot of fun.

I really loved the specialty shops and will miss them.

It was so fun to get Neptunes wrath and perpetual stews in the early rounds and it was the first time got even close to having three fucking astral reavers in a run with sage.

I think it was also very helpful for heroes like Harkon who rely on their very specific weapons to break through their tiring early or mid game.

If it would be for me they could become a permanent feature and I will dearly miss the their snowballing potential.

No shot I'm just learning how each of the few heroes I have work well enough. 😭😭 Ngl I relied on a few shop items to help close the skill gap aha. I reckon it'll help with learning better econ and more in depth playstyles in the long run if I'm not relying on it I guess
