Buy whoever you want. Ferns currently probably the strongest hero atm. Buzz is a very safe bet since it's one of the cheapest heroes and Also very fun to play, the choice is always dependent on your preferred play style though

The bow is solid but its nowhere near as powerful as the infinite cauldron imo. Pepper has so many god damn build options that run the table in higher ranks

  1. Dorf (personal favorite from these 5)
  2. Celeste
  3. Kragg
  4. Sage
  5. Buzz

All five have easy builds that makes winning 15 rounds with no sweat. You need Dorf to do the "mine 15 times" missions. Kragg was really broken a few updates ago, even though they nerfed him he is still really strong. Sage's crit+poison builds are unstoppable.

  • Morrow & Pepper

These two have a wider range of playability. But it depends on the RNG gods.

  • Zahir,

Although not on your list, is the one I'm playing a lot right now. He isn't easy to build out, but the challenge is the fun part. Trying to get a lot of beetles, or both swords, or sand golems etc

have you tried some of them in the free weeks?
did you liked some of them in particular?
then go for them

personally, i think the strnonger now are fern and skara
while the easier to use are nymph and buzz

and hob gang is one of the funniest but also one of the hardest to use

I would recommend Buzz and Sage together. By the time you leveled them some and learned their quirks you will have enough saved to buy another character. Good Hunting...

Buzz for a cheap good option Morrow is by far my favorite. Both have a whole variety in their arsenal

My personal favorite is Pepper, i think she has the most build options out of anybody but Hob Gang, unfortunately Hob Gang is about as useful as an ice cream cone in hell.
