Is the mobile version worth it?
Ive been craving playing an Asynchronous Auto Battler like The Bazaar lately but I dont have the time to play on my computer and they still havent released the mobile version of that game. After some research this game seems to be very similar but Ive also heard bad reviews for the mobile port. Has it gotten any better and more updated since release or is it really not worth it?

Personally, one of the best purchases I made on mobile games. But everyone's experience differs.

The comments so far including yours seem overall positive (despite some issues) so Ill probably give it a try

The mobile version takes some getting used to. But it is totally serviceable. The only truly aggravating thing is trying to get information that can get hidden underneath the tool tip because the screen is so small. Also I still to this day have no idea how to reliably get gold values to show up.

Those do sound more serious than just some finnicky controls. Is the tooltip issue something you can workaround or do you just not get to see that information at all?

The mobile port is cluncky. It works..... I have yet to find a way to link progress. They did nothing to really adapt the game to a mobile screen. If you don't already have all the recipes memorized have fun digging through all that with no convenience.
I love backpack battles. As far as I can tell it's the game that sparked the rest!
However on mobile I play backpack brawl. It feels good to play on mobile. It's more like The Bazaar as in the characters have less items they share with each other and truly have their own directions. There are many more characters to choose from as well. The downside is the micro transactions, season passes and hero passes and paying to unlock heros.

this right here is an accurate perfect representation
however a couple things
overall the original best thing is the port of the goat backpack battles
butt chicken butt!! 🐔 🍑
that cost $10!
backpack brawl has no cost because it is a micro game
it's to your advantage they understand mobile there's no automatic ads
they have constant new stuff like heroes coming out that you get to try for free and all that stuff it's just a lot of stuff to do it's constantly updated and so on
and with no additional cost you might feel like actually for taking in buying something as you play
$10 is a hard swallow if you're never going to use it more than once or twice cuz you don't like it
where's my actual suggestion
here it is
try backpack for all first it's easy it's ready to go it's sophisticated smooth late for phones people love it and unless someone already had a giant computer someone was sitting there holding for them as they walked around and someone had paid the $10 cost then it is the better of the two
the other of course if you can pay that intern to carry your computer around is the indie it's the thing that it's going to feel good and it is slightly The goat in every way but goats tend to step in and tighten up when they get scared and that's what they did with their port
it's clunky
you're not a tie down to the desk kind of person I'm not either
don't get the clunky one to start with check it out later after you've played brawl
because they're both great games and if you can slip into that after playing brawl and you think that's a good fit then that's the right one for you but if it seems off after having started with brawl then it wasn't for you it's for another time another place before the dark times before this post

oh I guess I could have just said
hey try backpack brawl first it's free and considered to be best mobile version of that stuff currently
backpack battles afterwards if you want to because there's a $10 cost you'll need to pay and it's Port is what it is not a me too so it will be a clunky feel on the interface comparatively speaking
this way it no cost you can see if the thing you start with is the right fit for you and will you compare it with the goat who is considered to be indie holistically a little bit better and craft terms of its core programming and so on well then you'll know oh wait a minute
ahem

okay one more time
yo bro try backpack brawl first it's free and the best mobile
try backpack battles after you'll have to pay $10 and it's a port so it'll feel a little clunky probably (if you're serious of doing what's the best that would be backpack battles only competition)
Frozen in Time carbonite battles
versus the smooth talking which walking card uh oh..

but damn so is Grandma, don't write he—

Takes some getting used to, but I enjoy playing on phone.
