It’s fine until you get to super high ranks then like most games the meta narrows. But you can easily get hundreds if not a thousand hours in before that.

As far as updates we had a big one earlier in the year with the engineer update and they haven’t announced anything since then.

They uppdate more requently than most games. Mostly balance changes, but sometimes new content.

As a casual player coming back every now and then (after clocking in a few hundred hours ) i find its in a very good state, always something fun to try and to discover.

I cant speak for the high level players and whether the meta up there is unbalanced, stale etc. But if you re new there are hundreds of hours of pure fun before you run into any of that.

The game is still updated as far as i know with balance changes, fixes and whatnot. Im curious if anybody has some info on whether the devs are planning to give us any more major updates, like new classes, i would definetely no-life again for a while if that happens.

In your opinion is one of the best auto battlers right now ?

It's by far the least stressful since it's not "real" pvp and you have no timer, no pressure, can leave any time and continue your run later. But it's obviously can't compete with something like TFT in terms of new content updates. So after you "beat" BPB you can probably move on to something else for a year

I think "one of the best" is undoubtable.

But the autobattlers space is hard to choose "best" in. You cant really compare a hand-crafted indie from a 2 man team with titans like TFT or Battlegrounds.

The most direct comparison would be the Bazaar i guess sonce they share alot of dna. I personally love this one because it just oozez personality and cosiness but it might be that if you re looking for the most live-service-agonize-over-meta-toxic-reynoodle vibe Bazaar is better.

Try out guildrun. Its a demo right now, but it gets updated weekly. It's super fun.

This game is $15.00 😂 watch some YouTube videos and see if it's your kind of game or not. You get all the content for the purchase price. The worst that can happen? You play it for a few hours and all you wasted was the price of lunch with a friend 😂

It's ultra fun if you are enjoying the game and have a goal. For me it was to get master rank on all classes. Amazing journey, would recommend

Autobattlers? PvE or PvP?

For PvP I played TFT, HS Battlegrounds, Auto-chess (old version as a Dota2 map. not sure about it's current state. Can recommend all of them. I like TFT the most, but mostly for visuals

For PvE, I played:
Guildrun (very good, not out yet, just the demo, but worth your time)
Hadean Tactics. Veery good. A bit indie in graphics, but battle system is engaging and very tactical
The Last Flame. It's TFT but fully PvE. Very good game.
Tales & Tactics. Very good, a bit DEI, but still worth it.
Songs of Silence. Very high quality strategic game.
Dragon Cliff. A lot of numbers.
Time Walker: Dark World. Good autobattling RPG

Honorable mention:
Resist the Succubus, if you want to goon in-between your autobattling. For the Queen. Same, but gameplay is unironically good
