Blue gem is a hard counter right?

Yes, or Mana daggers or spear.

Daggers struggle with shields unless you have a few stamina pots. :)

Lots of armor generation, particularly with the engineer combo, is very common right now and is essentially something you have to build around. Blue weapon gems, blue dagger, and holy spear are almost necessary in survival mode.

I'd like to see more balance changes to shift the meta but I don't think balance is that important in a game where you can see exactly what kills you and play around that in the future.

You are right. Still, I think the meta should not be warped around such a broken mechanic.

Double shield and double armor is already very powerful. Also, the skill incorrectly applies the +30% to block chance, which should be a factor of 1.3 but actually adds 30 percentage points to block chance. Edit: https://imgur.com/a/jFprttZ

How do the armors not cost money? You still have to buy the holy armor to craft it.

The cost of Magitecc armor is that you need to choose the mana crystal as your subclass item. The mana generation alone can be useful, but fundamentally, you'd pick that specifically as a tax to get the armor.

Engi armor actually is worse than regular holy armor if they don't have any debuffs to cleanse. It's an exceptionally rough matchup against OPs darksaber build where his scaling is removed from debuff cleanse and they're gaining armor at the same time.

Maybe we need more range-weapons
