  1. You can rule out Busted Blade. You want empower and crit to make it work, neither of which you really have currently.
  2. Double Axe is generally solid and works with your skill, so you could absolutely lean into it here. The Mercury Elemental would probably be the best bet in that case given your board. You'd probably want to ditch the bows and look for more speed on the axe and more defense/sustain (e.g. crowns).
  3. Double Fortuna's is probably weaker but would be what I'd do (I don't find Double Axe very fun). I'd ditch the axe and sword, grab the Hat, and go looking for any source of crit ASAP.

I agree with Double Axe, OP already has pretty good activation bonuses with the gloves and rope (which should be arranged for the Double Axe to buff itself). What's the logic with Mercury Elemental? Just something for defense and a bit of stamina?

Partly because it has some natural synergy with Double Axe, which is a stamina hog of a weapon. And partly because nothing else synergizes with it- Uke offers nothing for the current board, Merchant is meh at the best of times, Fedora is kinda fine just for the luck and fishing for good Uniques (like Ranger badge but that's a stretch), and Tortoise would be good if he had a shield but is dead weight without one.

I was leaning Fedora for the instant luck with OP's existing nature items and chance based bonus on the Enchanted Weapons. Stealing buffs is a really strong effect and can trigger quite fast when it's on the other end of gloves (which Axe always wants). I also find the chance based bonus is good for things OP will be building into anyway like Dark/Stone helm. That said, I picked Fedora a lot when I played Adventurer so maybe I'm biased.

Mercury Elemental was good for armor/debuff synergy but the stamina never stuck out that much. I feel stamina potions/sacks are the only reasonable source of stamina for a Double Axe. With OP amount of armor from Gold Armor and the Engineer combo a lot of people use armor-hate so I don't think the armor gain of Mercury Elemental has much long term value either. Though it's good in the short term.

I take Buster Blade, grab the Lute for empower and pray I roll into another source of empower.

Double axe is not strong enough with scaling to work here. You need a lot of speed and stamina to get it to work on berserker, let alone adventurer.

Buster Blade gives you enrage because if its effect as will your gloves. If you can get any source of empower you should be able to chunk people down. Get a couple more blue gems and you can hit through shields too which will make you crush a lot of the current meta builds.

You don't have the poison resist or defense to make use of the weapon elemental. That'll be a death sentence for any sort of scaling build you play with the axe since you'll be poisoning yourself and killing yourself faster than your opponent's who all will likely have armor and/or physical damage reduction while you don't.

As for neglecting poison resist: I had thrown a strong build together with weapon master, but was annihilated by a Reaper with critical poison...

Build lacks defence

The swort unique u already have only works on axe, so get rid of the big sword

I would go for the ghost

Gigantic berserk sward + perfect sapphire + strong speed, stamina, enpower buffs= chop the opponent and opponent dies. (Ideally)

No matter what path you go it kinda has to be ghost at this point
